After earning a PhD in native mass spectrometry in Oregon, I moved across the globe to Utrecht where I use MS to study antibodies as a postdoc. Outside the lab you’ll usually find me reading a book of any genre or planning my next travel adventure.

I am a materials scientist, artsy in my free time, from photography, drawing to music. You'll also often find me reading outside or biking/hiking in summer! I'm very proud to be part of Pint of Science Utrecht to share what scientists are nerding about in a fun way.

I’m a fungal biologist specializing in mycelium materials. When I’m not in the lab, you’ll find me crafting art projects, surfing, but mostly spending time with my dog Ziggy. I’m proudly nerdy and always happy to organize science events that bring people together.
Elena Domínguez Valdés

I’m a Geologist trained in Madrid now studying how the oceans of millions of years ago could help us better understand near-future climate change. A passionate yogi and meditator in my free time, I also love learning about political and social transitions whenever I get the chance!

Studied Molecular Biotechnology in Munich and moved to Utrecht to combine my interest in basic immunology with my passion for analytical development. When not working on antibodies you’ll find me outside seeking the next great trail to explore!
